June Tay Sanders is an MFA candidate in Photography at Washington State University and holds a BA in Media Disparity from Fairhaven College. Their work confronts ideas of authenticity, place, identity, and the American landscape — looking at how we form our homes, our bodies, and our communities. Combining Queer theory with contemporary photographic practices, they create work that shifts between quiet observation, abstract narrative, and socially & politically motivated documentation.
